If you have been dreaming of designing your own cards, this is the class for you! Learn how to turn your Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge into tangible products that you can make for yourself or even sell! Design beautiful Christmas, Halloween, and Easter cards to celebrate these holidays with friends and family! Learn how to manipulate the designs to create several different takes on the same card! This is a versatile class that allows you to develop your eye for design and hone your skills.
This is part of the Design As You Learn Class Series. This means that the course was structured to teach techniques as you complete a finished project that you can actually use. Each Design As You Learn Class is taught as a STAND ALONE class. This means you can take this class by itself or in conjunction with another Design As You Learn Class. You decide! In this course, we design three cards. Each card incorporates several techniques to help you discover multiple ways to design holiday cards. Each card design keys in on a brand-new technique or old technique with a new approach to help your design skills grow.
Because this course is Illustrator-heavy, I recommend you take Illustrator Basics CS6 Course 1 before you take this class. However, all of the videos are step-by-step so you should not have any difficulty following along if you have not had much Illustrator experience. I do make the assumption that you have had some Illustrator training and we move QUICKLY through the steps.
